U.K. Associates of BIOS
Over the years the U.K. Associates of BIOS have provided generous scholarship funding to many students from institutions all over the U.K. enabling them to participate in research internships at BIOS. Students from institutions such as University of Southampton, University of Exeter, University of Liverpool, University of Reading, Bangor University, Swansea University, University of the Highlands and Islands, Cardiff University, Imperial College London and University of St. Andrews have received financial support.
At the conclusion of their internship, successful candidates will give an oral presentation outlining their research topic, experimental methods and results. In addition, they are required to provide a written project report.
Eligibility: Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in U.K. colleges or universities are eligible to apply for U.K. Associates of BIOS funding. Recent graduates may also be considered provided they intend to continue their career in marine science in the U.K.
U.K. Associates of BIOS Research Internships
The U.K. Associates of BIOS are offering full scholarships for U.K. students to participate in a 12-week research internship at BIOS. These scholarships will cover the cost of accommodation and meals at BIOS, as well as providing a small student stipend and a contribution to research expenses associated with the research project. Scholarship funds do not cover travel expenses or medical/travel insurance.
The U.K. Associates of BIOS Internship Application Form is available here and the deadline for receipt of completed applications and required supporting documents (including letters of reference) is March 22.
Successful applicants will be matched with available mentors and projects. In your application please clearly state which areas of research at ASU BIOS you are interested in and why.

- Zooplankton Ecology
