Bermuda Curriculum Support
Through Ocean Academy, BIOS strives to support local teachers and educators in the development and delivery of STEM curricula through a wide range of partnerships, workshops, and hands-on activities that are aligned with our student programs.
- Curriculum Enrichment Program provides opportunities in chemistry and biology (for classes with students aged 8 and older)
- Mid-Atlantic Robotics IN Education (MARINE) provides opportunities in physics and robotics (for classes with students aged 10 and older)
BIOS partners with the Bermuda Union of Teachers to host educational workshops in line with our offerings annually.
In addition to their scientific exploration, students wrote letters to the ocean, expressing gratitude and acknowledging the ocean's crucial role in our daily lives.
By helping kids feel connected to and responsible for our oceans, we’re shaping the next generation of environmental champions – one lesson at a time!
📝Dear Ocean,
“Thank you for being a peaceful, enjoyable place for me to spend my time. Thank you for being a place where I can explore. Thank you for being a place where I’ve made so many memories, and where I spend my days. Thank you for all the stunning views, from the coral reefs to the ones from Lighthouse Hill. Thank you, ocean, for being a whole new world.” – Lauren, Saltus Grammar School
